We ran around Florence quite a bit. We climbed up a Duomo and a tower and explored churches, crossed bridges, and looked at a garden full of statues.
So far, the best pizza has been in Florence, at a little shop called Toto Atto II by the Pitti Palace & Bobeli Gardens. They had several pizzas without sauce. They didn’t need sauce. So good.
Upon Larry’s recommendation, we had a very nice dinner at a restaurant called Coquinarius. I tried the wild boar. It was a cured meat, very similar to speck or bresaola, served over an arugula salad. Becky got a really tasty pork loin roasted in rosemary with peaches, drizzled with balsamic vinegar – her words, not mine.
Oh yeah, and we went to museums. We saw this statue called The David… it was pretty impressive. We also saw a painting of a blond woman hanging out on top of a giant sea shell. Becky likes that one a lot.
Nice pix! “Statue called The David”. lol!!!! Yep, he’s been around a while….
So did you two bring back to the U.S. any great ideas for a new product to market and sell in a little shop in Boulder?!?! 😉
