Well, we made it into Italy easily & on schedule! For our first day, arriving into the city bright & early, we intended to dump our packs at the hotel & head out into Milan to explore the city. Unfortunately, we did not expect to be so exhausted when we finally got in so we did the best we could between exhaustion & only one day in Milano. The one thing we didn’t want to miss was the Duomo.
Apparently the 4th largest cathedral in Europe, this huge building was started in the 1300s & took nearly 500 years to complete. We headed inside for a free look around & then paid to climb the many stairs to the top & get a different view of the city….
…Now we need to get some sleep!!!
